What my Uncle sent me: My dear nephew, I called your home and was told you were attending a wreath laying service for the late Prof. How I wished I were there. I retired to write a short poem which I now send to you. Oh Ghana, be careful ooo. Reason does yes abound for condemnation even of the Great, Noble and Honourable. Even in their death, verily as in their living, a Caius Cassius always lurks. There to trumpet home in subtle disconfiguration, nay Roman sensibilities, nonetheless with vicious applause, the disgust of the uselessness of his effort that has made Honourable Romans underlings. All that in good stead though, for the crown is a fetish of consuming mortal craving. Greatness it is said, is only found in the history of generations for which divided Rome of honourable mortals has no such time. The crown of Rome is a fetish of consuming mortal craving. Don’t tell me there is some good in the worst of us, or that there some bad in the best of us. Don’t tell me of Human imperfection and don’t see guile in me. I have heard that often times and that is not fetish for any craving. I know what it takes. It is his doing that we Honourable Romans are today underlings. The sensibilities of Romans being that most important at such times of spreading flowers, let me be brief from now and just but say he was a good man. May Zeus give us the health and guile we require - the Crown of Rome is a fetish of tremendous mortal craving. Have a good day my nephew and dont forget my stock. I am running low My reply: Thanks so much Uncle for the poem. You know we did not do Roman history in our time but its all well. I like the poem. Emma will come to the village at the weekend. Need I say more? Greetings to Auntie Adzo and please keep well sir.
