What revisionist (people who want to re-write history for a political agenda, whitewash, etc) are now doing is this version of history that makes the Trans-Atlantic slave trade look like just part of global history and not anything special. After all Arabs, Chinese etc all had slave trades, and Africans had slaves what is so special about the Atlantic slave trade? They start by telling you about 10 million. So you start thinking they enslaved 10 million people. full stop. No, 10 million is the lowest number that arrived in the New World more like 15 million. 10 million more died in the dungeons, on the ships, because of their race (created in Europe). Another 10 million probably died in the wars to procure captives. Another died of the vacuum created and diseases, and the often ignored poverty that resulted from taking so many people for so long. All of these people were 300 years in captivity building the West into a super power, and then some confused souls believe that all people practice racism equally
