What was the saddest thing you have ever seen in your life? I was on my way to Pala-o for a shoot. We were still at the road a little far from Dear Manok. A nursing student, who i guess was from IMCC, caught my attention. As she was walking for the streets she kept on shooing a dog. She was asking the dog to go back and i had a big feeling it really wanted to go with her. She made a go for our jeep, and the dog finally waggled away. When the jeepney started to move, the other passengers saw the dog running for the streets, avoiding the cars, and trying to chase us. She put a shock on her face. The dog almost reached the other side of the street when a car hit it. The dogs cry of agony was so loud it broke my heart. The girl quickly asked the driver to halt and she ran for her dog. She threw her things away on the ground, knelt, and reached for the poor thing. All i saw was sadness, regret, pity and horror on her face. And all i felt was heartache. She cupped the dog in her arms, together with her things and carried it across the street.. head down. The driver started the jeep and i was still looking at their direction even when we were far ahead. All day i was thinking about the dog and the girl, even up to now i cant seem to forget it. It mustve hurt a lot for the dog, being hit by a car. But i knew it broke the girls heart more, having to experience that tragedy. She must have thought of it always. Dogs arent just animals. They have feelings too. In fact theyre only the ones who listen to you when you pour all your feels on them. They dont get to talk back but you can see it in their faces that they understand what youre feeling. Dogs are family, I cant imagine the hurt of losing a family on that situation. #Griffin
