What we cannot achieve alone, we can achieve together.... Turkey has gone through so much pain and suffering, and over such a long time... Millions have died over the last century or two... Christians, Jews, Alewis, Muslims, Yazediz, Zoroastrians, Armenians, Chaldaeans, Assyrians, Arabs, Kurds, Zazas, Turks, Turkmens... The list goes on... What we all have in common is our humanity and desire for a better future for ourselves, our children and our children’s children...We can do it...together...we can learn from the past and build a better future... I sincerely hope that Turkey will become better country in the coming years...a more tolerant and open society where people can live free, happy and fulfilled lives... What I have learned from all the suffering that I have gone through during my childhood days in Iraq and Iraqi Kurdistan is that there are things far greater and more meaningful than Nationalism and Pride... Things like humility, peace, diversity, tolerance, openness, sharing, caring, forgiving, learning, loving, and...living... together.... in a peaceful, open, equal, democratic, representative and progressive society... And above all else, I have learned that Love will always...always conquer Hate and Evil... always... We can do it...together...Kurds, Turks, and the like... But we must be brave and pass the hurdles, break the barriers and extend our hands and our hearts... We must reach far towards each other.... and bridge the gaps that tear through our lives, cultures and societies... What we cannot achieve alone, we can achieve together.... Sertip Zangana
