What will you be It’s a delight you can write Let flow raw untainted ink on paper. It’s amazing the breadth of your creativity Creativity that a times boarders on divinity. That you bounce word off word To weave line into lines That, like a river of honey, flow Flawlessly into the minds of your readers And is etched onto their hearts – A mark of your impression on their souls A shadow trailing them for eternity. I am glad – we all are – you can bleed Bleed bare your soul for all to see; But you see that is the way of a writer – Shading your troubles on paper. When push comes to shove When you find yourself born Muddled in the life of one of your creations Trapped in the midst of a tempest That is the breathing conflict of your tales What are you going to be A writer Or an enchanted reader rlm
