What you believe is subjective, but God and His message are not. - TopicsExpress

What you believe is subjective, but God and His message are not. He does not change and neither does His Word. Jesus is the stumbling block. Many will be offended. He doesnt have to get out of our way. His Word and His love dont need to conform to us or our sense of correctness in order for it to be truth and love. I would rather be broken across Him, than to be left whole in my sin. Jesus is love. His love is unconditional, but that doesnt mean there arent conditions. His love is being tolerant of the individual, but that doesnt mean having to be tolerant of everything we do in order for it to be love. Does a child dictate to a parent? He came to reconcile us to the Father, not the other way around. Political correctness would tell us morality is conformity to what society thinks is correct. But how can something be correct, if correct is something that is continually changing? Hence, conformity does not necessarily mean morality, especially when morality is expected to conform to something that falls short of the standard that God has laid for us. God gave us freedom of choice. But political correctness would have that choice taken away. We dont need to agree in order for me to love you, but I dont need to agree with you in order for it to be love. Conformity and morality, correctness and political correctness. One does not necessarily equal the other, nor should it have to. Universal truth need not be universal in order for it to be true. If truth needed to be subjective, then it is not truth at all, but rather just an opinion. Lets agree to disagree here folks. But let us both agree to love one another, because that is the law Christ laid out for us.
