What you need to know for the day, their is a heightened risk of tornado breakouts later in the day into the evening. You should pay very close attention to social media and local news outlets as we move toward the afternoon/evening time, stay on alert and know what the weather is doing. Be prepared and have a plan, keep your electronics charged to stay connected and have some extra bottled water on hand, have extra batteries and flashlights ready in the event of power outages (AEP is already standing by with extra crews), if you live in a mobile home... plan an alternate location to spend the afternoon/evening in the event tornado watches are issued. Please do not call 911 unless you have an emergency as dispatchers will become severely overloaded very quickly with storm related calls. Stay safe, be prepared, be alert and stay connected!!
