Whats on your mind? Facebook asks... My answer... Who thought Empty Nest Syndrome was a real thing? I sure didnt, I mean I get it you miss your kids that part I thought I could understand until my baby (the last one in the nest) left the nest. Then I had a real understanding.... I began to look and my five bedroom house and slowly waked through room by room then passing what once was Chases room and now storing things Im going to sell (downsizing) Gawd help me I missed the smell of teenage ass and elbows, then to Kaylas old room, now the library, and miss the clutter on the floor and hidden candy wrappers here and there, into the living room staring at the pictures of them as kids (sigh) on to the kitchen the frig still cluttered with either magnets they gave me from places we or they have been and Panda pics Starz drew (giggle to include one of a baby Panda on a Mother Pandas leg which) I would relentlessly tease her about how it looked like the baby was humoring the Mothers leg, down the hall to my Art Studio that still holds the ghosts of Emilys huge mess and cat food crumbles where Cream Puff would rarely leave, on to gaping emptiness of Starrys bright orange and green room a One Direction poster still hanging on the wall, the walls were full of her Art and also numerous friends and in the closet once stood a life size cardboard of one of the One Direction dudes that no matter how many times I saw it... It would creep me out. Even the kitty cats linger in her freshly abandon room.... Then on to my room that seems to be the only familiar thing in the house until I begin to remember all the long talks each one of the kids at one time or another would plop on my bed and share one thing or another.... I miss my babies.... They are all grown up where the hell did the time go.
