Whats that one-do you like bugs? said the little girl following me in the garden. Its Sage, and Daddy Long Legs is stretching out on her under the SUN... I said to the very inquisitive young girl. She was very interested in what I was finding, obviously the nature lover of the family. We perused through the wildflower garden, while trailing behind her mom and siblings. Together over just a few feet we came across many wildflowers, Bees, Butterflies, and one Bunny that followed us, but it hid behind the grass, shyly peeking as it pretended to nibble grass. I remembered for a moment what it was like to be a little girl, to just get lost in nature-the same way I do nowadays, now that life is so centered for me. I realized as I watched her walk away, that little girl reflected my own innocent timeline, the one the controlling system pulls us out of at such a young age. I knew the whole time just how important this interaction was for both of us, as I put loving intention into showing her everything I could in that short time. We even ate some Wild Roses together! II told her it is medicine for her woman shield, and she heard me clear. A little GODDESS made my day. I wound up taking photos of the whole family, as they rode the plaster Deer. I was so pleased to do this for them; four little cuties with Mom on the Deer. I wound up helping a first nations sister afterwards. As I listened to these womens stories, I realize how I appreciate being able to see the plight on our streets, and to have survived what I did, gave me the power to now be able to stay centered while I help them. I dont get emotional about what is happening to them, I just help. Edna is a diabetic and could barely walk. She needed food now. Many of the first nations suffer from diabetes, because of sugar and the chemical poisons which were introduced to them upon colonization of Americanadiana. None of the processed foods were a part of their lives before, and so many are suffering. Its like a form of shock to the system. It is really difficult to witness, largely because it is systematic failure in that many settler people just walk over them, like they are lepers. Blatant genocide as so many first nations are suffering out there from day to day. I went home and found Edna some food, went back and gave it to her. She loved the organic oatmeal bar, and this is the kinds of stuff a diabetic should be eating-high glycemic, long sustaining carbs, not white sugar. Cindy just got out of the hospital from being stabbed. Both herself and a woman named Charmaine were talking about how their partners beat them, in a manner that shows these women are trained into this pattern; they do not see that they have the power to change it. Most of it is because the system offers no support, as it seems every act of violence is absolved through the victim. THIS is the moment we, the community step in, and help our sister women. Otherwise they become missing, murdered, and brushed under the rug. I took both of their information, asking them if I can stay in contact to see if they are okay. Edna is going for surgery on both her knees, and she already asked me to help her. She has friends, but many are not in a position to be of help to her, as they are also struggling. With three womens addresses in tow, I have offered my energy to this cause. Im seeing too many beautiful, sweet, kind women trapped in addiction hell, poverty, and incessant attacks. I am concerned about Cindy and Charmaine; both had BOTH eyes blackened. As I looked at Cindy, I could see the experience she had, as every mark was indicative of a process of violence she endured. Black eyes, choke marks, and stab wounds tell a story, one that just did not match with the lovely women before me. I projected love at these amazing women, for every day they survive is a battle to eat, for safety, and most of all for a sisterly love that will hold their hand while they heal. I am honored.~rℒw
