What’s happening to the Great Barrier Reef is a global environmental outrage, a countdown to disaster. The decision to approve Abbot Point is a decision to destroy the Great Barrier Reef. Three million cubic metres of seabed is the equivalent to 150,000 dump trucks, stretched bumper to bumper from Brisbane to Melbourne, tipping waste into the waters of the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park. This cannot be allowed to happen.
