When 9/11 happened one of the first people I called was Dave Winer. Later, when I worked for Fast Company our offices were in the rebuilt World Trade Center Seven building and I often stayed late at night watching them work on ground zero. Today Patrick Scoble lives near there and wants to be a NYC police officer. I believe he chose his life path that day. My blogs from that day are gone. Only memories and a bad link from Daves blog (he linked to it below). That day brought deep changes to my life. Within a few months I was divorced and engaged to Maryam Ghaemmaghami Scoble. I will never forget. I cant. That day changed me deeply and I didnt live near it nor did I lose anyone I knew. It is weird experiencing this day with a bunch of cool people in a restaurant in Sydney, Australia. Gives me a different perspective on the day. In every life there are these pivotal historic and tragic days. Now that I have lived almost 50 years I see how our lives change and are defined by days like 9/11. I hope I dont have to experience another one.
