When A Woman Helps Her Husband... Zaynab said, I heard the Messenger of Allah say, O Women! Give sadaqah, even from your personal jewelry. So i asked my husband, Abdullah Ibn Mas ud, Go and ask the Prophet if a woman will be rewarded for giving her husband sadaqah (charity), if not, then I will give it someone else. So he said, You go ask him! So I proceeded to the house of the Prophet and I found another woman there from the Ansar who had the same question as I did. So Bilal came to the door and we said to him, Tell the Messenger of Allah that there are two women asking if they give sadaqah to their husbands and their orphans will they be rewarded. But dont tell him who we are. So Bilal went and when the Prophet inquired as to who is asking, Bilal said, one of the Zaynabs in the community. The Prophet said Tell them they will have two rewards. First, for keeping family ties and secondly for the charity. Stop itemizing what you contribute to the marriage and view it as the glue that keeps the family together and hope for your reward with Allah. P.S.
