When Blind comes back from injury, would you prefer him or Carrick in that defensive midfield role? Obviously our results suggest Carrick is better there and for good reason - hes a lot more experienced in the role and in the league being our oldest player now but stats say Blind didnt do too much wrong with similar passing stats and he wasnt lacking in his defensive work either, Carrick is just more consistent. Carrick and Blind are both highly intelligent players who make up for their lack of pace with exceptional vision and positioning and they both have brilliant pass accuracy and range - point is theyre very similar, only difference at the moment is that Blind is more versatile while Michaels more clinical in posession. while Carrick right now is statistically superior, I believe Blind can and will be a worthy successor of Carricks role in the team. But hell have to wait his turn. #MUFC -Laaris
