When Britt was taken 2 years ago, I searched and posted and networked exactly how I was told by everyone on these pages. We have a great rescue community, but with that, I also noticed many what ifs loop holes, and flaws in our system. Having a background in SEO and basically a GEEK at heart, I approached several developers and offered to Beta test apps for them since I noticed there were very few apps for Lost & Found, and the ones that were available were Adoption oriented. As we know, that is only one piece of the puzzle. With Community awareness, Education, Preventative Care such as Spay and Neutering as well as Chipping, we can start to alleviate the overcrowding problem in many of our Shelters. Utilizing todays technology such as GSM tracking, mass leverage of Social Media in Posting and Networking, as well as Push Notifications and Alerts will also speed up our pet recovery time. Being a huge advocate of RTO, that is always my first goal in any lost pet situation. Eliminating Over/Irresponsible Breeding as well as Breed Discrimination and Fighting Circuits, as well as a myriad other forms of abuse will also be possible with the Geo Fencing, Alerts, Mass Distribution and After Care and Education as well as up to date Tracking Tools and Community Resources. Ive tried several apps in the past year, and this one seems the most comprehensive. There are versions for Android, Chrome, Ios, Mac so please keep that in mind if someone else isnt able to see the exact same view or version you are seeing.
