When God Talks Back Literature Review: In the American - TopicsExpress

When God Talks Back Literature Review: In the American Psychiatric journal, researchers argues that going to church actually boosts your immune system, decreases blood pressure and reduces stress. Its kind of like an accident from God (American Psychiatric journal, 2014). In another study carried out by Chris Weller (2013), it states that 86% of our holly water contains fecal matter. Despite its purported cleansing properties, holy water could actually be more harmful than healing, according to a new Austrian study on holy springs( LIZ FIELDS, 2013). However, other studies declares that we know few details but the loss reminds us that to feel despair when you want to feel God’s love can worsen the sense of alienation. We urgently need more research on the relationship between mental illness and religion, not only so that we understand that relationship more intimately the ways in which they are linked and different but to lower the shame for those who are religious and nonetheless need to reach out for other care.
