When I first transitioned from Vegetarianism to Veganism, I was quite unsure as to the extent and variety of what I could eat. In the first six weeks, I ate mainly salads, seeds, legumes, veg, nuts. To my delight, I lost weight pretty quickly. Then, as I began to further research, I discovered there was in fact, plenty delicious choice. Dairy, chocolate, ice cream alternatives. They were also incredibly yummy! Suffice to say, the weight I had lost returned! My choice really :p Anyhow, its so much easier to go Vegan than you realise. You can have your treats if you want them. The world is so much geared to Veganism now. Vegetarianism will soon no longer exist. It involves supporting the cruel dairy and veal industry. *Please research for yourselves* I became a Vegan just before the end of last year, but Id already ditched eggs and cheese prior to that, and had almost completely eliminated low fat milk in my tea. Its not hard. It was a small sacrifice. I prefer the taste of non dairy products now too. Veganism is just opting out of cruelty, refusing to support these monstrous industries, that only care for profit. Dont listen to their marketing ploys. Milk is not what the human body wants or needs! If youre into other species milk and excretions, you may as well milk the cat or dog! You know its gross, so just do it already!
