When I fully committed my life to the Lord, one of the first things I experienced was an unquenchable thirst for anything to do with the Lord. Even as I was starting to read the 4 Gospels I felt this fire inside me urging me to also start reading from Genesis. Whenever I had a moment I was pouring over my Bible, trying to find out as much as possible about the Lord. Something wonderful happened, nobody had ever explained to me about the chronological order of the Bible but it all started to unfold in front of my eyes like a very good mystery - only this time I knew it is all real. I did not know before hand that Chronicles and Kings were written about the very same period and incidents, I never understood before where Jeremiah and Isaiah and Daniel and all the other prophets fitted into the rest of the Bible and all of a sudden it all made sense. Reading the Bible became the biggest adventure of my whole life and still is. Nothing is there by accident, as you start understanding the beginning the end becomes clearer and vice verse, as the end becomes clear you understand why certain things were mentioned in the beginning and you cannot wait to go back to get the full message. There is nothing more wonderful than being taught by the Holy Spirit, layer upon layer the truth gets revealed. Every time I start from the beginning I understand more and more clearly and as I near the end of Bible I wonder how come I never noticed this before. Never think the Old Testament is no longer applicable - that shows how little you understand. The Lord knew the end from the beginning and He mentioned it from the beginning. To know Him is to know all things. If you want to get to know the Lord, you need to first invite Him into your life and hand your life over to Him, then He will come and explain all things to you, even the secret things that others crave to know but never seem to grasp.
