When I got saved, I had a strong desire to become a missionary. I always had this picture come to mind of me simply hugging an elderly woman, comforting her as she leaned on me. I held onto that image, with a desire that maybe someday I could spread comfort and hope to the weak. At the second church service we went to here, an elderly woman came to us for prayer. There was a language barrier and we couldnt understand what she needed prayer for, but we prayed as hard as we could anyway. After the church service, she came to me and hugged me. She then began to kiss my cheeks and bow to me, touching my knees and feet - a custom that Hindu converts do to show honor. She was incredibly grateful for that prayer, despite us not being able to understand each other. I keep thinking about that over and over again. God bridged the gap between us, spreading His love, His comfort, His joy to the weak. Its amazing, and I cant believe Im able to experience this.
