When I heard about the accident that happened to Rose, Julia, - TopicsExpress

When I heard about the accident that happened to Rose, Julia, Jose, and especially, Ross, my stomach sank. A few years ago I lost 3 of some of my closest family members in a car accident that I still have not yet completely healed from. I don’t think anyone can ever heal completely from losing a person. For so long I was angry at the world and hated being alive. I felt like if someone deserved to live, they did, not me. I’ve learned so much from this and I hope to pass it down to any one who is struggling. I hope to bring a sense of comfort and support to those suffering with these words. God’s not finished with you, and although life may seem extremely hard at the moment, it isn’t over. God loves you and you have a purpose. Do not give up. 2 Corinthians 4:8-10 8 We are pressed on every side by troubles, but we are not crushed. We are perplexed, but not driven to despair. 9 We are hunted down, but never abandoned by God. We get knocked down, but we are not destroyed. 10 Through suffering, our bodies continue to share in the death of Jesus so that the life of Jesus may also be seen in our bodies. 2 Corinthians 5 1:1-4 5 For we know that when this earthly tent we live in is taken down (that is, when we die and leave this earthly body), we will have a house in heaven, an eternal body made for us by God himself and not by human hands. This is a mash-up of two songs I felt were necessary for moments like this. The first song describes the pain that people go through at times during life and how some of us just want to give up. The second song offers comfort to those struggling with losing someone. Their is beauty, and not darkness, from what waits beyond death. “Empty handed, but not forsaken. I’ve been set free.” Praying for all of you!
