When I picked Lilly up Friday from school we were driving home on Rt 113 We passed Flowers that marked a loss of A Very Special Young Man and Employee of the A Stand we recently lost. As she and I passed I asked her if she noticed the flowers she said Yes. We began talking a little about the Spud We knew and I finished my sentence with a very soft voice and just stated that Its Sad People who loved him,including us were just sad. (we saw that young, hard working,long legged, Mischievous smile beyond the grill quite often this summer, Always seemed to be cool, calm and collected even in a summer rush! His Blue Grill Apron may have been dirty from a hard days work but The Hat on his Head stayed Fresh, Never Bent or dirty..Ever!) No way was I ready for the truth that came from her heart and out of her mouth….. Gerladine (most of you know this is Me), We dont need to be sad, He is not sad. I know he is happy and he is not hurting. Heaven is a much better home than here Even rewriting that statement in this moment gave me chills and the truest feeling of Faith, God,Hope, Love and so much more. I believe she is absolutely right, I thank God for these precious little reminders.
