When I read some post in this forum I begin to question the ways of our reasoning. The Fulani insurgency are attacking Eggon settlements in most part of Nasarawa southern senatorial zone, it was termed, fulani and Eggon crisis. Fulani ransacked Eggon from their respective residence other ethnic groups congratulated the fulani for doing so. Some individuals in other tribes were sympathetic with Eggon while others rejoiced for Eggon misfortune, some tribes even joined hands with fulani to attack Eggon settlements. These are various tribes that lived together, inter marriages, eat and celebrated Christmas and salah together. Now the irony of the whole issue is that, some tribes didnt only celebrated the invasion of Eggon settlement, they also took advantage to loots properties worth millions of Naira from Eggon settlements. These actions are wearisome with severe consequence. You dont loot in times of crisis. We dont have to support crisis of any form. Fulani are fighting Eggon and may still fight other tribes, does it mean Eggon should celebrate when Fulani attack other tribes? Now that Fulani are asking for peace does it mean they wont invade Eggon villages or any other ethnic groups? Fulani are they one attacking the Eggon and the same fulani are seeking for peace, who is deceiving who? We lived for centuries with most of these fulani but when they were about to carry out the attacks they all disappeared. Eggon didnt initiate the crisis but fulani did, they guilts of Eggon is that they shouldnt have defended themselves in the first place. I dont think a normal human being will see danger and fail to run away or have some kind of defence. My brother, we shouldnt pray to see these foreign insurgency to attack you your village. We should Instead kick against fulani actions but we are busy celebrating it. Your turn shall come if you choose to celebrate now. But if you sympathise with Eggon now they will also sympathise with you. One good turn deserves another.
