When I was a housing cop way back, this is what it was like... Just the buildings were a LOT dirtier !!! The who projects I worked at were LESS than 30 years old and they had to tear them ALL down !!! The town homes were standard a frame structures... But even the the brick and concrete buildings were RAZED due to NEGLECT and VANDALISM !!! (BTW: our house we live in now is FINALLY falling apart but its close to 90 YEARS OLD and still standing !!!) Now dont get me WRONG... There were plenty of middle age and older folks who lived there who I would have loved to have had as parents or grandparents... These were the people who suffered REAL RACISM, OPPRESSION and SEGREGATION !!! Yet they were the sweetest, kindest, caring people I EVER knew!!! They moved in there when the places were first built and NICE !!! It was the younger crowd who DESTROYED IT !!!
