When I was a kid, I learned about the true meaning of Christmas from Linus on A Charlie Brown Christmas as he recites the Christmas story from Luke2. Growing up in an agnostic household, I had not ever heard this before, and I was filled with awe and wonder and a deep sense of reverence and hope from these words. I waited every year to hear it again on TV. Even today, I still think of Linus giving this speech whenever I hear: For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. Merry Christmas!
