When I was a kid, we played outside, rain or snow, ice, sleet, and hail, in dirt, clay and mud, mom always made us go outside and play. We had farm, and lots of room to run. But In my apt building we dont have that option: we dont have a yard, its a dirt drive way, and I have kids here all the time, my sons friends are my kids too...and they get bored..easily. So I do what any loving mom would do: I find fun, safe and inventive ways for my kids to play...a mattress with a plastic shell (like they used on Princess Diary 2) in my opinion, is perfect for sliding down steps. Theres no glass to break, no broken bones, and best of all, my son isnt out running the streets getting into God knows what kind of trouble! He can stay home and have fun. So what if I let my kids slide down the steps...I did it first, its safe, theyre safe, and plus, its a blast lol! Gave me butterflies lol!!! So, If it bothers anyone, too bad, grow a pair and say something to my face.. if your not brave enough to bring it to my door, then mind your own and let my kids be kids! Teenager or not, home is the best place to be!
