When I was a little girl, people would ask if I was named after the Mighty Isis TV Show? I wasnt, I am my mothers namesake. But that was still kind of cool. There were 560 baby girls named Isis in the U.S. in 2005, theyre 9 years old now. How do you think people will be reacting to their names now? The accurate term for the Islamic Terrorist group is ISIL according to the UN, the AP and the U.S. State Department. Please ask the media to lay off from using our name and instead use ISIL. Its the right thing to do on so many levels.
