When I went to college in the early 90s, most tenor players were listening/imitating Brecker (except I was listening to Stan Getz and Ben Webster). He was for many of that generation what Mark Turner seemingly is for this :(. With that said, as much as I dislike all Brecker clones, the original cat was really something else. This lifted me up a bit this morning. (Nice to see the great Ralph Peterson Jr on the drums too). youtu.be/tjpjGSr38d4
