When Revin was 1 we found out he was allergic to eggs but the levels were very low so he was retested at 2 yrs old to see if he possibly grew out of it. Well at that point we were told that he was still allergic to eggs and also allergic to a bunch of other foods....the main one being beef which showed levels that were off the charts. Normal levels dont go over 2 and his were 94....yikes. We were confused from the very beginning because he loved beef stew and the other foods that they said he was allergic to and never had a reaction to anything but eggs. Well, we took beef out of his diet and when he started preschool (now a little over 3 yrs old) we figured we would have the test done again because we just knew it could not be accurate and its a pain to keep him from eating what the rest of the class is eating..... and sure enough those results came back showing he wasnt allergic to anything other than the eggs and even that # is still very low. Doctor says she isnt sure exactly what happened but looks like lab error. Hmmmm..... Anyhow, he is so excited because today we are having some friends over and grilling steaks. He keeps saying its beef day, its beef day....lol. So with EpiPen in site (just in case), he will enjoy his first bite of beef since approx. Jan 2013.
