When Tien woke up this afternoon his eyes looked so alive and alert. He was looking all around and tracking between me and Adrian. I was so happy to see his eyes so focused that I had a huge grin on my face and and said Look at you!, you are beautiful! He saw my big grin and smiled not only with his mouth but with his eyes. Surgery is set for tomorrow morning at 10am CST. they will do the fusion (occiput to C2) first then turn him over and repair the Radial/Ulnar fx. They are prepping him today. He had a pint of blood and is getting some vaccines, since he lost his spleen. The team here is excellent. I have utmost confidence in them. As I have met with the doctors i tell them about who Tien is and some of his background. I want them to have a human connection with him. i have also asked each one to pray for him before they go into surgery and they have enthusiastically agreed. The compassion and love in the team is palpable. Their skills are renowned. The Lord God is present in this room in such a powerful way.
