So when the Muslims won Egypt they built 1200 Masjid not just for prayers but to teach Deen. Egypt turned into Arabic and a Qur’anic nation. Al Azhar university is in its thousandth year flowing out hundreds of scholars in Deen and Arabic language though Arabic was not the main language of Egypt when the Arab-Muslims reached Egypt..
