When a person leaves his/her body, the soul takes a similar form - TopicsExpress

When a person leaves his/her body, the soul takes a similar form with the same desires and same problems once again. The life begins right from the point where you left it, there is no escape. Our ancestors knew this and thus they understood that though they have taken a birth due to their desires but once fulfilled they have to leave this and go beyond, as this is an illusion. Leaving it does not mean that give yp everything and you are left with nothing, leaving means that if you stop running after the physical pleasures you will get something better in return. The pleasures and satisfactions then become more deep and profound. But, here a question arises that even though one gets higher pleasures, why are most not following this path? The answer is simple - most don’t have a Guru and thus they do not have gyan and as a result the belief that such higher pleasures do exist is lacking. The knowledge is there but gyan is absent. Let me give an example - if you tell a normal being that there is a sixth sense beyond the five senses, will he believe you? No. If there is no experience then you wont believe in it, belief comes only with experience or gyan. That is why earlier when Gurus spoke about the path of moksha, they used to make you experience these higher senses.
