When addressing the theology of those with whom we disagree, we must take care not to fall into the trap of assuming that the other fellow shares our theological categories and distinctions. For example, the oft-made accusation of replacement Theology made against Covenant Theologians by Dispensationalists assumes a hard and fast separation between the Church and Israel that the Dispensationalist holds, but the Covenant Theologian does not. In other words the Dispensationalist is inadvertantly assuming agreement on what is in fact a point of difference.
