When i was in the UK last week i bought Elton John s new album The Diving Board Since my childhood Elton had played a big part in my passion for music . So a new album by him is something that s equal to a personal letter from a friend . I love this new album . Elton s piano playing shines as ever before , he doesn t use many guitars . I think his piano playing is outstanding on this new record . I feel very comfortable with the dark mood that we find on this album , especially in these autumn days . Bernie s lyrics read like poems . Elton doesn t need radio hits anymore , instead he shares his inner feelings with those that really want to listen .......... like me !! There s something really special for me in the song A Town called Jubilee There s a guitar part throughout the song that could have been George Harrison on slide . It s one of those moments that i feel that George is still around ! Thank you Elton for one of your best albums in years !!
