When my daughter was nine years old, she participated in the Polar Bear Plunge for the first time and raised $250. She vowed to double that the next year, which she did with $518. Again, she vowed to double it and last year raised over $1000. So, you know whats coming--this years goal is $2000! You may recall that last year it was so cold they had to reschedule--ice on the Chesapeake Bay and high winds on plunge day. YIKES!
