When one is in the fires of hell one does not think of heaven. To get out of hell into any of the upper rings of purgatory is all a damned one will seek to do. Aspirin or placebo? No voy tomarlo! There is no alternative to arsenic. There can be no talk of alternatives or energy rationing or energy conservation until the evil 6 percent of world energy generation\consumption is gone! In fact I personally can proceed without the deadly nuclear toxin in a world with no alternatives whatsoever. At least there will still be a world to stand on.
