When out walking in the mornings, I usually pass a house in front of which a Paati( old woman) of the house , a bent old woman with her head covered , maybe because she is a widow and has tonsured head, would be sweeping the courtyard.She would make a neat heap of leaves, twigs , normal kachra etc and then would proceed to sprinkle water ...I would smile at her and walk past. After my return from Aus , I have been missing her.I wondered what happened to her.Then today I saw someone sweeping the front yard. I hesitantly asked..... Paati...? She said sadly, erinde pochewhich means she died. Though I had been ready for that , I felt sad....miss you Paati..
