When somebody really cares about you with unconditional love, invest in you, does whatever they can do to help you even though you’ve done nothing to deserve such favor it begins to wear on your emotions. Eventually you would grow to love this person with a grateful heart. Most anyone would feel compelled to do anything in return to show your appreciation for the kindness they have displayed to you. Such is the love we have towards our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. When we begin to grasp even a small portion of what He has done for us we can’t help but have a grateful heart towards our Lord. We don’t attempt to gain our salvation by obeying his commands, no if we believe in Christ whom God raised from the dead and profess it with our mouths His word says we will be saved, it is finished. It is with a grateful heart and a passionate love for Him who sacrificed His very life for us that we try to be like Him and reflect this same agape love towards others. It is out of appreciation for our salvation we begin transformation into the people we ought to be.
