When someone tells me that they have an amazing prayer life, yet they are jerks at home and unloving with people, I wonder who they are talking to in their prayer closet. Our covenant with God must benefit people! We simply cannot have a relationship with God that doesnt positively effect the people around us. Our family should be so happy that we know Jesus because we are such a better father/mother, husband/wife, son/daughter when we connect with Him. If loving God truly helps us to love others well, everyone should be excited that we serve Him.
