When the bible speaks of “the fear of the Lord being the beginning of wisdom,” it does not mean that we have to act like a bunch of scared rabbits around God!…It’s not like God is waiting with a lightening bolt to zap us every time we make a mistake, no more than we want to zap our own children!…..Fear= Godly awe, reverence and respect for a mighty and loving God. It’s satan who keeps us in constant remembrance of sins of the past and he propagates fear in our lives. Oh but God! Listen to this: Psalm 130:3-4 (GW) 3 O LORD, who would be able to stand if you kept a record of sins? 4 But with you there is forgiveness so that you can be feared. (or as I said held in awe, reverence and respect) NO FEAR TODAY!…….The old hymn says: My records clear today, for He washed my sins away. And the old account was settled long ago. (Thanks, Bro.
