When things in your life almost has become too much for you to handle, when 24 hours in a day do not feel enough, remember the jar and two cups of coffee: A professor stood before his philosophy students with some objects on the table in front of him. He began When the lesson took off in silence up a very large and empty Jar and began to fill it up to the edge with golf balls. He then asked the students if the jar was full. The students agreed that it was. Then the Professor lifted up a box of pebbles and poured them into the jar. He shook it slightly. Small stones rolled down in the empty spaces between the golf balls. He asked the students again if the jar was full. They agreed that it was. The professor then lifted up a box of sand and poured the sand into the jar. The sand filled up the rest of the blanks. He asked once more if the jar was full. Once again, the students responded with a unanimous "Yes". The professor then produced two cups of coffee, which stood under the table and poured the entire contents into the jar, effectively filling up the remaining gap could be maintained between grains of sand. The students laughed. Now, said the Professor, as the laughter rang out, I want you to imagine that this jar represents your life. Golf Balls are the important things such as family, children, health and the other who is passionate in your heart. Such as-if everything else was lost and only these things remained-still would meet and enrich your life. Small stones represent other things that matters, home, job and car. The sand is everything else--the small stuff. If you put the sand into the jar first, continued the Professor, it is not possible to fit the golf balls or small stone. The same thing is with life. If you spend all your time and energy on the small stuff, there is no room for what is important to you. So, pay attention to what is essential to your happiness and contentment. Spend time with your children. Take your partner out to dinner. Dedicate a game to about it that makes you passionate. Soon enough, you can clean the House and other things that are less important. Take care of the "golf balls" first-things that really matter. Reset it is most important in your life. The rest is just sand. One of the students raised her hand and inquired what the coffee represented. The Professor smiled and said; -I am glad you asked. The coffee is included to show you how full and pressed your life than feels, so there is always room for a cup of coffee with a friend.
