When we talk about liberating voices through literacy here in Marin, I think about the women and men who inspired me. Literacy takes a person one more step closer to justice and liberation. Certain books and people make a difference. Stand Up Justice Lovers - Miss Lee has passed. The sister of Harper Lee (To Kill a Mockingbird) modeled her life after her father (the Atticus Finch of her sisters novel) and was an honorable warrior for those without a voice. Bless your heart Miss Lee!
