When you are pregnant, what are the preparations you made? Shop for a doctor? Choose a hospital? Go baby fairs to buy cheaper baby stuffs? Why why why why so many parents-to-be still dont prepare themselves for the most important part - what and how to feed your baby? It seems to me that so many people dont even think about breastfeeding until the moment baby is born. I know this for a fact coz I receive so many of PMs, emails, phone calls, sms, whatsapp etc everyday on this, and the one thing they have in common? They did not prepare themselves for breastfeeding. They think its unnecessary, nature will take care of itself. Yes its natural, but do you know that your hospital environment with the medicalized birth is not natural, and so many babies end up being bottle-fed FM in the hospital itself. And your CL or the grandmas who have almost zero knowledge on breastfeeding would most certainly push the new parent into giving FM. Whats natural about feeding FM? It comes naturally from being ignorant. How many of you will actually get hired for a job if you did not invest the necessary preparation ie study for years and getting a qualification? You are going to be a mother/father. You no longer should hide behind ignorance and say I didnt know. If your baby cannot count on you to know, then who can she/he count on??
