When you see a Moderator notification, remember, it hasnt been - TopicsExpress

When you see a Moderator notification, remember, it hasnt been tailor made for your post. It is a generic notification that is used for all members for similar situations. Dozens of notifications are posted every day and writing for individual situations is not possible. The first thing you have to do is to comply. We do not have the time to explain the rules to each member, nor do we have the time to massage your affronted ego. Arguing, defending or moaning will only get you closer to a ban. If the notification requests deletion, remember you have 16 hours from the time of posting (not notification) to delete your post, failing which you will be banned. We do not have the time or the resources to keep track of which member broke how many rules and when - therefore, banning. If you think the notifications are rude, please blame it on your understanding of the English language or an inflated ego, not the Moderators or the language. When the notification says, You may be implicitly taking credit, it means precisely that - you *may* be, because some people do and implicitly means, others may assume so due to the absence of credit. So, please do us all a favor and first obey the notifications and discuss the rule later with a Mod if you wish by mailing [email protected]. Finally, if youve been banned, read section 18 of the rules for the reinstatement procedure.
