Where Bayelsa State must learn from Rivers state: If these were - TopicsExpress

Where Bayelsa State must learn from Rivers state: If these were students from Rivers state, I would have been at my best :) . Now, you know I dont like the Rivers state government very much, but this video just made me realize things could have been worse in Rivers state. So today, I give Governor Chibuike Amaechi some credit for making sure Rivers students abroad are catered for adequately (so far). I saw a report on Channels TV yesterday covering resumption of schools in Bayelsa state. The public primary schools I saw looked really bad. Maybe I am getting too used to Amaechis fancy model schools. For a high revenue state like Bayelsa, with over N200b in revenue in 2013, we certainly expect more. [Just remembered the Soku oil wells :( ] IF this report true [and if the governor is aware] and has not acted, then I am afraid that state may be returning to the Timipre Silva days. The last time I remember Nigeria abandoned students abroad was when a certain General Buhari overthrew a democratically elected government in 1983. It is better to be in a slum in Yenagoa than to be in Russia without help. Somebody should be fired for this. https://youtube/watch?v=ojq6AMxvFOc&feature=player_embedded
