Where do you stand? what is the present condition in our state? a strong moment for division of state is headed by TRS and political JAC in telangana. They want telangana comprising of 10 districts including hyderabad. Samykyandra moment headed by NGOs, other employees and students want status co. Congress leaders in telangana are supporting division in line with TRS and political JAC while their counterpart in seemandhra are not clear in their stand. TDP leaders in telangana are in line with TRS and political JAC but not seemandhra leaders. TDP leaders in seemandhra want samykyandhra but are not demanding for withdrawal of support for division of the state given by the party to the center. In a way both congress and TDP as a party are unable to take a clear stand for or against division. YSRCP started with equal justice and now openly advocating samykyandhra. BJP and CPI are for division but unable to spell out how the division process should be. CPM and MIM openly declared their voice for united AP. The political parties are avoiding discussion over the issues that arise due to division, but are accusing each other and are responsible for the present situation in the state. The role of the rulers is to identify the problems concerning large sections of society like entire state, under developed regions, deprived sections, price rise, takes ect and also the needs of the people as a community and that of industry. The unemployment problem is due to lack of will and vision in ruling political parties in creating opportunities for the skilled youth and imparting suitable training in skill development of youth. The political parties that ruled the state are not ready to share the responsibility for uneven development of different regions in the state and failing in creating new jobs by developing industries. They got divided into regions and are blaming the people of the two regions for the differences responsible for agitations. In seemandhra region the political parties got alienated from the people. The reason for alienation is failure of the parties in proposing a reasonable solution by discussing the issues concerned in their own party meetings. Instead of promoting harmony among the people of the two regions, the politicians are creating the conditions for inculcating hatred and widening the gap between the people of the two regions. The rulers ignored the mass moments led by opposition parties whoever is in power and thus the voice of non ruling opposition is suppressed. This necessitated the need of power and its decentralisation. Intelligentsia is a part of hard-working labour. It is time the intelligentsia in the state open out and discuss about the issues and protect the future of our children. By being united if we cannot resolve the differences, how is it possible to live with harmony over coming the hatred created so far after the division? We see the failure of our leaders in getting funds from center for the development of backward regions and sanction for railway projects in our state. under their leadership how can we expect centers support for new capital. A part of the state income will be set aside for the construction of new capital with some mechanism. This hampers the growth of both the regions. Intelligentsia and common people does not matter whoever is the ruler since they are not in race for political power. Moreover the growth of private sector is providing jobs for the hard-working intelligentsia. Private industry wants skilled labour at less cost. So there is need on part of the intelligentsia of the state to bring the politicians to the negotiating table and strike at some agreeable solution to both the regions. The separatist moment and samykyandhra moment are opposing views and can never resolve themselves as long as they agitate on opposing lines. This is detrimental to the overall interest of the state.Once we sit before the negotiating table our opinions will change and will be forced to come to compromise. Hope and wish the intelligentsia leaves their political shield and join hand in hand and discuss openly in pressurising the political parties to come to some compromising solution, with minimal loss to both the regions.
