Where does God come from? John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. God IS INDEED LOVE, and without Him, we could not even breathe. However, for us to try to figure out where God comes from, is impossible. Try to figure out where you were ten years before you were born. THINK ABOUT IT! Where do YOU come from? We come from NONEXISTENCE, and cannot explain it. Suddenly you develop and grow in your mother’s tummy. Where do the bones come from? And the marvellous brain, with its millions upon millions of cells, all correctly interconnected? If we could connect 10 cells correctly every SECOND, it would take us about THREE THOUSAND ONE HUNDRED AND SEVENTY MILLION YEARS to do this. God has done it for us in but a moment. What about the millions of nerve cells that connect the brain to the body, and the 65 000 MILES of blood vessels, all correctly connected? If we cannot even begin to explain these things about ourselves, how could we UNDERSTAND where God comes from, even if He tried to explain to us? Our brains, marvellous as they are, could not even BEGIN to cope? The bible tells us: PS 145:3 Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised; and his greatness is UNSEARCHABLE. Job 11:7 Canst thou by searching find out God? canst thou find out the Almighty unto perfection? Job 37:23 Touching the Almighty, we cannot find him out: he is excellent in power, and in judgment, and in plenty of justice: he will not afflict. By reading the bible and by contemplating God’s wonderful creation; by studying the prophecies and noting their accuracy and fulfilment, we can say with Moses who lived about 3450 years ago: De 3:24 O Lord GOD, thou hast BEGUN to shew thy servant thy greatness, and thy mighty hand: for what God is there in heaven or in earth, that can do according to thy works, and according to thy might? That God is real is proved – man does not know the future, but God does. Isa 42:9 Behold, the former things are come to pass, and new things do I declare: before they spring forth I tell you of them. Isa 46:10 Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure: So let us not then worry about where God comes from, but rather worry about where we are going to. Let us Cry out and shout, thou inhabitant of Zion: for great is the Holy One of Israel IN THE MIDST of thee….. For further info. or studies please phone:Errol Cell: 082 765 9498 .
