Where does my inner life live? Weve crossed over into a toxic - TopicsExpress

Where does my inner life live? Weve crossed over into a toxic imbalance when we find our thoughts motivated more by posting our lives rather than living it. Studies show that social media alerts (sounds on our phones) actually produce an endorphine in our brain, similar to drug use, rewiring our thinking and motivations for more and more stimulation and distraction from reality. I have discovered that this cultural shift has done severe harm to the believers ability to hear the whispers of Gods voice. Pandering at the pool of popularity will breed a form of narcissism that is not easily broken: a cultural enemy to true intimacy IN Christ and with others. No one is exempt...especially if we decieve ourselves by judging others of doing it. Lord, grant me repentance...to escape this trap. (2 Tim 2:25-26) That I may protect this blessed oneness with You.
