Where does the prejudice against Israel that seems to permeate Scottish nationalism stem from? Why the periodic flirtation with Islamic terrorism? (Dont know what I mean? Please type Israel/Palestine or similar in the Search tab of the SNP website and read what pops up e.g. the welcome given in the past to a prominent Hamas supporter, the warm-sounding condolences extended to his family following the death of Yassir Arafat, Alex Salmonds former support for the BDS movement, the immediate call for an arms embargo on Israel at the start of that countrys most recent defensive operation against the escalation of the jihadists rocket attacks against its civilians, the wilful blindness to how the Palestinian cause and the people who call themselves such are disadvantaged by the ideological orientation and priorities of its/their leaders, the apparent absence of understanding of Israels existential struggle, the offers to open wards in Scottish hospitals to injured Gazans but not also to injured Israelis and the absence of any recognition that Hamas deliberately and wickedly tried to harm and kill the residents of the Strip in order to inflame anti-Israel world opinion.
