Where is the buffer for the new County DPW site that the County Executive promised the Paramus Mayor and homeowners surrounding the site? Paramus residents have been patiently waiting 6 months for the County Executive to come back with a plan to provide a buffer to the homes next to the new DPW site. The only response we got was the County would provide some Honey Locust and London Plane trees (huh?) that the Head of the Paramus Shade and Tree deemed inadequate. The County was never truthful about the size of the new DPW site when they originally presented the plans, which will house every County vehicle. The homeowners surrounding the project only learned of its magnitude after the County chopped down almost all the trees that provided the only buffer for sight and sound to their homes. The County Executive says she wants to be a good neighbor, but all that the Paramus residents have received is lip service. Below are pictures of the current buffer that the County has provided for the DPW site, which is in a residential area. Today, Paramus residents are suffering from the County Bullying our homeowners. Next time it could be your town.
