Where the road takes the turn ------------------------------------------------------ The blazing fire now consumes, That refuge of life, the last bastion of faith, Of abode of passions, now remains but a rubble As conflagrations engulf its gasping fame Expect no deference, mercy nor shame The foe is brutal, of ill-gotten fame Burning flames and flashing lightening, Are usual sights in times so frightening! No good omen, should one aspire In the territory of internecine fires The days are gory, nights are cold As death looms large with every stroke But just when they thought, the life has bidden adieu! It limps back to hope, though stripped of glory! Waning lights from glorious days, yet burn mild through withering phases, No train of horrors can kill their germ, And every atrocity has made them firm Yet no one knows, Where the road takes the turn
