Where were you when the world stopped turning on that September day. ... I really was teaching a class full of high school kids and because the school was a magnet school for drama and the arts working on some stage in LA. Kids were almost all crying, office workers opening the mail with gloves and absolutely NO planes in the sky. Every year after that, I always told my students that I didnt do exact dates like most history teachers, but there were 4 dates that they ALWAYS needed to remember: July 4th 1776, December 7th, 1941, June 6th, 1944 and September 11th, 2001. I told them that they were always going to remember what they were doing that day, just like we all remember what we were doing the day President Kennedy was shot. Always made the administration have a moment of silence every year after and spent the entire class periods teaching about 911.
